Benji Shock

WESTS Tigers pivot Benji Marshall hopes to make a shock return - a month ahead of schedule - against Cronulla next Sunday.
Marshall is no chance of returning for today's historic SCG game against Souths but is on target for an early return after damaging his posterior cruciate ligament only five minutes into his NRL season. It is a massive boost for the Tigers and also Marshall's prospects of playing for New Zealand in the Centenary Test against Australia on May 9.Tigers coach Tim Sheens confirmed Marshall was a potential starter against the Sharks, despite initial predictions the 23-year-old wouldn't be ready for a return until the round 11 clash with the Gold Coast Titans."There's some chance of him playing next week," Sheens told The Sun-Herald. "[But] I'm not going to make that decision until I see how he goes over the next few days of training."
